Duco van Lanschot · Co-founder, Duna
Duco van lanschot provided a practical and hands-on session about GTM strategy.
Most important take-aways:
- Avoid creating a magnum opus or deep analyses when your confidence interval and knowledge of the market is low.
- Short beats long; nobody likes reading 15-page strategy documents —> focus on a simple that you can easily test and iterate instead.
- Focus on users that believe in your philosophy —> when you build something new, you need users that slap you in the right direction and provide feedback that helps you realize your vision. Brutally disqualify users that don’t help you to bring your product to the next level.
Duco’s framework for GTM is stupidly simple: (1) List your customer profiles, (2) Pick your decision criteria, (3) Rank who to target first. That’s it.
Duco is the founder of Duna. Before Duna, he started Stripe Benelux and led GTM at Fourthline.
